What We Provide

Probate & Estate Administration

I charge $2,500 plus court fees for an uncontested Will Probate or Estate Administration.  If someone challenges the distribution of the assets or the appointment of an administrator/executor, the process becomes contested and additional fees will apply on a case by case basis. 

 Surrogate courts fees range from $45 to $1,250  depending on the value of the estate.  You may also need an accountant and/or appraiser depending on the assets involved.

WILL PROBATE:

  • Creating inventory of assets;

  • Filing Probate Petition with Surrogates Court;

  • Appointment of Executor named in Will;

  • Advising regarding distribution of assets;

  • Advising regarding filing of taxes; and

Advising regarding outstanding debts.

ESTATE ADMINISTRATION:

  • Creating inventory of assets

  • Filing Petition for Letters of Administration;

  • Obtaining Letters of Administration;

  • Advising regarding distribution of assets;

  • Advising regarding filing of taxes; and

  • Advising regarding outstanding debts.

  • Closing out the Estate.

Why engage in estate administration? There are a myriad of reason, such as: planning for incapacity, mitigate family conflict, distribute your assets according to your wishes, and many other reasons. I offer the following estate planning services:

INDIVIDUAL DOCUMENTS:

  • Last Will & Testament: $800-$1,500

  • Living Trust: $3000

  • Living Will/Advance Directive: $350

  • Healthcare Proxy: $450

  • Power of Attorney: $200
